Historical information

Allan Staniland Wake joined the Service on 10 November 1939 and was posted to the 2nd 10th Battalion, HG Wing, and was appointed sergeant on 28 May 1940, embarking for overseas duty on 31 May 1940. He was evacuated to hospital in Australia on 24 April 1942, and was found to be medically unfit for service on 14 October 1943, and discharged on 22 October 1943. His Army number was SX1333, and her served for 1503 days.
